I figured out our actual anniversary was yesterday at 9:17PM, PST.  (I am counting the kiss as our kickoff….)  That is the timestamp on that original photo.

We are still celebrating it TODAY!!  Our adventure began in 8th grade – we have ALWAYS had a blast together!  The love affair started ten years ago– although I have always had a thing for her (I would not ask out a girl my best friend was dating – and honestly she may not have gone out with me….)

I immediately loved how she loved my kids.  She still does, and I hers.  OUR KIDS.  She is a great mom to all of them (regardless of their opinion on the subject).

I am so thankful that she was spun into my life – I hers.

I do indeed love Penny!!!

Penny came to visit me in San Diego.  Our first full day there I took her to one my favorite places – La Jolla shores.  The next day we climbed a mountain.  We ate well – Penny had her first sushi!  It was a great start to a wonderful love affair!

Ten years ago tonight-  November 8, 2007, 9:17PM – Penny walked down the stairs at San Diego airport a single woman.  Five minutes later she walked out of the airport as my girlfriend.

I turned to the guy standing next to me and said “I am about to kiss this woman for the first time in my life – can you take a picture” – I handed him my camera – and the rest is history.

I never knew how good love could be, but for ten years Penny has shown me.

We went with Lori and Brent and Lori and Bob on a Zombie Hunting excursion at Cousin’s Paintball park in Forney.  We rode in a military truck that had paintball guns and UV lights mounted to it.  We shot flourescent paintballs at Zombies that were approaching us from the woods.

It was a total blast!!!!

We celebrated Valentines day a week early.  Had a blast!! Penny planned the day – we went out and spent a lot of time together and did some fun things!!

We attached our Love Lock to the bridge in Rose Rudman park, and enjoyed a movie and dinner together.
